Generation Global Workshop (1)

“Communication works for those who work at it.” — John Powell
Students of Shri Ram Global School from grades 8-12 attended a Generation Global workshop on October 9. The occasion was graced and facilitated by the South Asia Partnership Coordinator Ms Aishwariya Chauhan who kept the students engaged in thought-provoking discussions on topics such as climate change, social justice and cultural diversity. The workshop concluded with an interactive activity ‘The Story Of My Name’ that effectively reinforced essential global skills such as global communication, active listening, asking questions and reflection. Our respected Principal Ms. Shameem Singh addressed the students wherein she emphasized the significance of active listening among the essential dialogue skills that are global communication, asking questions and reflections that would improve communication, enhance empathy and create cultural awareness and appreciation among all.
Following are reflections shared by our students

Attending the Generation Global workshop was eye-opening. It taught us the true meaning of dialogue. We practiced active listening and creating a safe space for conversations, which are pivotal in building values such as respect, trust, sustainability and empathy. This workshop reshaped my approach to communication, demonstrating the power of meaningful dialogue in bridging cultural and geographical divides.
