“Smart Cities Can Be The Catalyst For A Better Future, Where Technology Serve Humanity”
On 11 November 2024, students of class IX had the Opportunity to visit the Smart City Project at the Lucknow Municipal Corporation (sustainable development goals office). The visit began with an introduction session where the project manager briefed the students on the objective, scope and expected outcomes of the project. During the interactive demonstrations, students saw various smart technologies in action including IOT devices for air quality monitoring, water management and energy usage, to name of few. The visit concluded with a Q&A session allowing us to discuss the challenges and future plans of the Smart City project with the experts. Overall the experience was new and insightful one. The Smart City Project in Lucknow demonstrates a successful integration of technology and urban planning. This visit provided valuable insights into the potential of Smart City initiatives in transforming urban landscapes.
A team teaching assignment is what follows next where the students will be taught inter disciplinary topics related to the visit in accordance with the NEP 2020 guidelines.
