At SRGS Lucknow our Pre-Primary comprising Pre-Nursery, Nursery, KG, Grade 1 and 2, and our primary school ( Grade 3 to 5) recently celebrated Reading Week, a special event dedicated to promoting a love for reading among our students.
Our Pre Primary children were involved in various activities like Letter Hunt, Word hunt, Word Bingo game, Word Chain and Newspaper reading. Our Primary students enjoyed DEAR PROGRAM ( Drop Everything and read)- Students brought their favourite story books from their home to read.
Students wrote book reviews, sharing their thoughts and opinions about the books they read. Students made their own vocabulary notebook to enhance their vocab. They also participated in Creative Writing.
It was a resounding success, promoting a love for reading and improving reading skills among our Pre primary and Primary students. We were proud of our students’ enthusiasm and engagement, and we look forward to continuing to nurture a love for reading in the coming ongoing academic session.
