CBSE Workshop on Experiential Learning

CBSE Workshop Experiential Learning (1)

“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn.” This timeless quote by Benjamin Franklin encapsulates the spirit of the two-day workshop on Experiential Learning recently hosted by Shri Ram Global School, Lucknow on 10th and 11th January 2025. The workshop aimed to empower educators by focusing on real-world applications and student-centric teaching methodologies. Our respected Principal Ms Shameem Singh warmly welcomed the distinguished resource persons, Ms. Poonam Gautam, Principal of Seth MR Jaipuria School, Lucknow, and Ms. Neelam Awasthi, Principal of BPS Public School, Lakhimpur Kheri, setting a positive tone for the sessions.
Teachers explored innovative strategies for seamlessly blending theoretical knowledge with practical applications, making learning meaningful and engaging. Interactive activities such as group discussions and case studies provided hands-on experience with tools to foster creativity and problem-solving in students. Teachers also collaborated in brainstorming sessions to design experiential lesson plans and tackle challenges related to integrating these strategies across subjects and age groups.
On the second day, the session began with an introduction to the concept of multidisciplinary teaching, emphasising its importance in promoting holistic learning and critical thinking among students. A key takeaway was the importance of making learning participatory, reflective, and context-based while fostering critical thinking and self-assessment.
This workshop reaffirmed SRGS’s commitment to adopting innovative teaching practices that prepare students for the challenges of the future while nurturing their curiosity and creativity.
