Community Service trip to Lohia Hospital

The Community Service trip to #Lohia_Hospital in our city was a truly enlightening and educational experience as well as one of the school’s endeavours to achieve Zero Hunger SDG (Sustainable development goal 2) integrated with the work education curriculum The highlight of the visit was the tour of Akshay Patra Foundation, where the students got to see how the Prasadam Sewa operates and the different specialties that work together to provide patient care.

In addition, our students had the opportunity to visit the community kitchen, where they saw how the staff worked efficiently and calmly to prepare lunch hygienically for the over 1000 patients everyday. Besides, the students and staff of #ShriRamGlobalSchool, Lucknow sponsored the lunch on 16.10.2023 and the students of Grade XI served lunch to some of the patients which was an eye opening experience that gave them a deeper understanding of how a hospital function to deliver quality healthcare. Moreover, the school also achieved the SDGs viz, No poverty, Zero poverty, Gender equality and reduced inequalities by serving the weaker sections of the society.

Overall, the trip provided a great opportunity to learn about volunteering and selfless service which will certainly help our young generation to become a responsible citizen in years to come.
