SHRI SEWA- Celebrating grandparents day at Samarpan – A Helpage India Initiative

Shri Ram Global School believes in nurturing values of kindness, compassion, and sharing from a young age. In compliance to this SRGS organized a Donation Drive for the residents of Old Age Home ‘SAMARPAN’ on the occasion of Grand Parents Day with the students of Grade I & II. This noble cause was led by our respected Principal Ms Shameem Singh. The visit aimed to foster intergenerational connections, promote empathy among students and provide companionship
to the elderly people.
We all were warmly greeted by the staff and residents. An orientation session was initiated by one of the residents reciting Gayatri Mantra. The interaction between the students and the elders started with some musical performances by students of Grade I & II.
They shared their experiences and life lessons with the children. Some elders enacted their favourite actors and some danced to their favourite old melodies. The students gave a small token of love and beautiful handmade greeting cards to the elderly people on the occasion of Grand Parents Day.Overall it was a great experience for the students as well as the teachers of Shri Ram Global School, Lucknow.
