PARENTS ARE THE ARCHITECTS OF THEIR CHILDREN’S FUTURES, SHAPING NOT JUST THEIR MINDS BUT ALSO THEIR CHARACTER AND VALUES.
Shri Ram Global School celebrated Parents day and conducted Orientation on the Holistic Progress Card on May 4,2024 with the aim of fostering stronger bonds between the schools, parents, and students while also familiarizing parents with the school’s holistic approach to education.
The Programme commenced with the little ones of Pre nursery and Kindergarten showcasing their talent like reciting rhyme, dance and dressing up and turning out to be the replica of their parents. Children made cards and crown for their parents and got pictures clicked wearing them. These performances not only entertained the audience but also highlighted the progress made by the students in different areas of development. The event was followed by an orientation on Holistic Progress card as introduced by the Ministry of Education under the New Education Policy. The programme was addressed by Principal Ms Shameem Singh who provided insights on the concept of holistic assessment, emphasizing its focus on evaluating multiple dimensions of a child’s growth which was followed by the presentation by the Pre-Primary Coordinator Ms Nivedita Sahai who briefed about the importance of Holistic education and the role of parents in supporting their child’s overall development. The core segment of the programme focused on explaining the structure and components of the holistic progress card. Each aspect including academic performance, co-curricular activities, social – emotional development and behaviour was elaborated upon to emphasize the comprehensive nature of the assessment . To facilitate better understanding, a small activity was conducted to illustrate the practical application of the progress card. The event received an overwhelming positive feedback from parents ,who appreciated the opportunity to actively engage with the school and gain insights into their child’s holistic development.
