On 28th September 2024, Shri Ram Global School, Lucknow conducted a Townhall for Nursery parents and students. The event began with the lighting of the lamp followed by Ganesh Vandana by the children of kindergarten. As it was the first time such an event was organized, the Principal and Pre-primary coordinator explained the importance of the Holistic Progress card and how it provides a comprehensive view of a student’s growth and development.
The event was designed to provide both parents and children with a hands-on experience in various developmental activities, with an active participation of parents being a key focus. It emphasized the importance of a holistic approach to early childhood development, covering cognitive, physical, socio-emotional, language, literacy, aesthetic cultural domains. The event yet again proved that collaboration between parents’ educators, and children is crucial in fostering well rounded development of the learners.
The parents understood the importance of developing sensitivity and creativity in students apart from subject knowledge, as they assessed their children in the classroom environment conditioned to assess holistic learning via a plethora of teaching aids and artefacts.
