‘If you don’t challenge yourself you will never realize what you can become’

Debate is one of the academic activities that give students creative room to express what they feel. The length and breadth of knowledge that they gain through this is simply unparalled.

Shri Ram Global School has set the benchmark for conducting activities in such a way that the students not only enjoy but also learn a great deal from it. With the same perspective in view, an Inter- House Turncoat Activity was held on 29th April. In this activity students unleashed their undiscovered potential to speak both in proposition as well as in opposition on the given topic. Students were divided into 3 categories. Grade III- V as Category A, grade VI-VIII as Category B and grade IX-X as category C. Their topic for the activity was ‘Traditional medicine is the best’, ‘Climate change is the greatest threat humanity is facing today’, and ‘Should genetically engineered food be allowed by the government?’ respectively. All the participants exhibited great oratorical skills in presenting their arguments before audience and a panel of eminent jury members Mr. Amit Kumar, Ms Fakiha Siddiqui and Ms. Smita Gupta were spellbound.

At the end of an interesting debate Anagah Dwivedi(Grade IV) of Tagore House, Aaira Shahab (Grade III) of Gandhi House and Vishalakshi Shukla (Grade IV)of Kalam House stood first, second and third respectively in category A.
