Earth day 2024
Date:22nd April 2024. The Earth Day assembly for Grade 5 students was an enlightening event, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable living.
The assembly began with a brief introduction to Earth Day, explaining its objectives and history, and theme for year 2024 that is “Planet vs. Plastic”. Students were reminded of the importance of taking care of the Earth and the role each of us play in preserving our environment. During the assembly, students and teachers took a pledge to protect the Earth and its resources. The pledge emphasized the importance of preserving the environment for future generations and committing to sustainable practices.
One of the highlights of the assembly was a captivating dance performance on the song “Bandeya”. The students, dressed up as the Earth, portrayed the beauty and fragility of our planet, emphasizing the need to protect and cherish it. Following the dance performance, students participated in a song dedicated to Earth, expressing their love and commitment to safeguard our planet.
