We all share the desire for the wellbeing of our children, which has always been and will continue to be the most universally cherished aspiration of humankind.” A day marking childhood- Children’s day celebrations focus on children and their enjoyment. The day is celebrated to pay tribute to the legendary freedom fighter, our First Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, popularly known as ‘Chacha Nehru’.
On 14th November, Shriram Global School celebrated Children’s Day with great enthusiasm! The day began with a special assembly, dedicated to Chacha Nehru’s birthday, which was conducted by the talented teachers for their children with prayer, pledge, virtue of the week, word of the day, hymns and affirmation setting a joyful tone. Children enjoyed and were mesmerised seeing the performances of their teachers.
A child dressed up as Chacha Nehru shared a heartwarming message with the children emphasizing the importance of education, kindness and happiness. The Principal, Ma’am Shameem Singh further enriched the assembly with a brief yet an impactful address, highlighting Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru’s deep love for children and his inspiring vision for a better tomorrow.
Children had a blast participating in fun activities and games, that made their day truly unforgettable. The day ended on a cheerful note, with children radiating happiness and carrying home beautiful memories of a celebration dedicated especially to them.
