5 October’19, the much-awaited Dandiya night, the “DANDIYA BEATS”, was one of its kind. The SRGS campus was completely lit up and adorned with unmatchable pieces of decoration. Everyone was in their traditional forms, wearing bright and colourful attires to suit the occasion. The stalls were all set with the most delicious varieties of food and snacks. There
were Tattoo makers, clothes corner, accessories, health counselling. 6 p.m., the crowd started pouring in. The guest of honour was the Mayor of Lucknow, Ms. Sanyukta Bhatia.
She lit the lamp, shared her precious thoughts and green signalled the commencement of the celebration.

The SRGS teachers set the stage ablaze with their graceful moves on a couple of dandiya numbers, all so synchronised. What better start than this! Glistening night skies, clattering dandiya sticks, smiling faces, excitement, thrill and joy, all filled the air. Not only this, the Mayor but also Mrs. Asha Singh, wife of the Chairman and Mrs. Sushma Soni, the Principal of the School graced the night with their dance along with everyone. Last but not the least, the school gave away several prizes to the public. The show was a great success and has left an ever-lasting memory.
