On this Mother’s Day, Shri Ram Global School celebrated the spirit of motherhood by serving those who need it most. The school partnered with Swapna foundation (nonprofit volunteer-based organisation) and organised a community service initiative that truly embodies the spirit of motherhood. Our students and their parents along with the principal and teachers came together to donate gently used sarees to women living in slums and old age homes. This initiative not only provided essential clothing to those in need but also served as a reminder of the importance of community service and social responsibility. By supporting women in slums and old age homes, we aimed to promote dignity, confidence, and a sense of belonging. This community service initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, SDG 5 Gender Equality- Empowering women and promoting their well-being and SDG 10 Reduced Inequalities. Through this activity, the students learned the importance of giving, the value of sustainability by reusing clothing, and the impact of community service too. It stands as a testament to the school’s commitment to holistic education, blending academic learning with real-world social engagement. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our students, teachers, staff, and NGO partners for their generosity and compassion. We look forward to continuing our community service initiatives and making a positive impact in our society.
