World Blood Donor Day – 14th June 2024
Every year countries around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day. The event serves to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products and to thank voluntary, unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood.
As a part of the community service program this year also Staff and parents of Shri Ram Global School participated in the blood donation camp organised by the school earlier this year. Our team represented by our Chief Academic Advisor Ms Pooja Prasad and our Principal Ms Shameem Singh, was felicitated by Her Excellency Honourable Governor Ma’am Anandiben Patel at King George Medical University today.
We thank all our staff members and parents and request all those who can to contribute to this social and noble cause every three months as it not only recycles one’s old impure blood but also gives 3 separate, transfusable components of blood that is RBC, plasma and platelets that can account for saving multiple lives as urged by the Vice Chancellor, KGMU, Professor Soniya Nityanand.
We also thank Professor Tulika Chandra HOD Transfusion medicine department for bringing together people from diverse fields, occupations and age groups setting up an ideal example of how community service brings true happiness and harmony.
