To celebrate the 74th Republic Day of India, Shri Ram Global School, Lucknow organised a programme on 26th January, 2023. The celebration initiated with the unfurling of the national flag by our honourable principal, Mrs. Sushma Soni, followed by the National Anthem.

The students from Grade IV to X did March Past and tableau representing the vivid culture of India was presented by the students of Grades III to V.

Grade 3 represented the lesser-known dance forms of our great nation India like SAMMI, KUMMI, KOLI, ROUF.

Sammi- It is the dance form of Punjab where people dress decked up in colorful attire dance in mesmerizingly graceful fashion.

Kummi- It is the most ancient dance form of Tamil Nadu which was invented when there were no musical instruments.  Women move according to the sound of claps.

Koli- Koli Dance is from Maharashtra that incorporates the elements of sea and fishing.

Rouf- It is the dance form of Jammu and Kashmir which is performed to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan.

Grade 4 exhibited the cultural attire and dance from varied tribes like IRULA (Tamil Nadu), BHIL (Rajasthan), THARU (Uttar Pradesh) and SANTHAL (Jharkhand).

Grade 5 displayed the motto of Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force as as Seva Paramo Dharmah, Sam No Varunah and Nabhah Sprasham Diptam respectively.

The enthralling performances of the students was followed by the celebration of Basant Panchami. This festival marks the end of winter and heralds in spring. It commenced with Saraswati Vandana, seeking the blessings of the deity. Significance of Basant Panchami was also explained. Everyone sang Saraswati Vandana. The students truly enjoyed the celebration and shared the joy of festivity with everyone.
