Visit to Balrampur Hospital

Visit to Balrampur Hospital (1)

On the occasion of Health Day and a part of our school’s educational and awareness program on SDG 3- Good health and wellbeing, a group of 17students from Class XI accompanied by their teachers, visited the State Government Hospital (Balrampur Hospital) on 7th April 2025. The visit aimed to sensitize students about public health services, medical facilities, and the role of healthcare professionals in society.
Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the hospital administrator, who gave a brief introduction about the hospital’s history, its facilities, and its importance in providing affordable healthcare to the public. The students were then taken on a guided tour across different departments including the OPD, emergency ward, pathology lab, and pediatrics department
Doctors and nurses explained their roles and shared insights into patient care, hygiene standards, and emergency protocols. Students were deeply inspired by the dedication of the healthcare workers and appreciated the infrastructure and services available to the public at low or no cost.
The visit concluded with an interactive session where students asked questions related to medical careers, first aid, and preventive health care. Overall, the visit was informative and eye-opening, instilling a sense of respect and awareness regarding the public health system.
The hospital visit is a valuable learning experience for the students, enriching their understanding of healthcare systems and encouraging them to adopt healthy lifestyle practices. Such educational trips help bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-life application
