Education is the greatest wealth and is the best tool for achieving economic and social mobility, inclusion, and equality. Keeping this in mind, the Government of India had drafted the New Education Policy (NEP) which will cater to the needs of all students, irrespective of their place of residence and social background. It will provide them a quality education and help them to evolve as good human beings capable of rational thoughts and actions, possessing compassion and empathy, scientific temper and creative imagination, with ethical morals and values.
The National Education Policy 2020 is the first education policy of the 21st century that aims to address the many growing developmental imperatives of our country. It lays particular emphasis on the development of the creative potential of each individual. It also encourages holistic development not only at primary and upper primary stages, but also at the secondary levels.
At Shri Ram Global School, we acknowledge the fact that an outdated education system and methods won’t be applicable for the twenty-first century when the children will be expected to think for themselves, pose and solve complex problems, and generally produce knowledge rather than reproduce it. The motivation and empowerment of teachers is required for the best possible future of our children and our nation. So, to update the teachers about the changes in the education policy, Ms. Sangeeta Yadav, Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Aliganj, addressed them at SRGS. She briefed about the Vision of NEP and its Key Proposals. The teachers found the session an enlightening one.
The SRGS team, is set to adhere to all the protocols of the set pattern provided by the NEP, to ensure that we gear our students to be able to develop the much needed analytical and critical thinking; in order to help them evolve into well- rounded personalities.
