To enable the students to communicate effectively and appropriately in their real-life situation, it is very important to help them become a good reader. With the advent of the new academic session, we, at Shri Ram Global School, want to ensure that the students avail this opportunity right from the beginning. Therefore, an ‘Intra Class English Reading Competition’ was organised on 13 May 2022 for grades III to X.

The Competition comprised of only one round, whereby all the students were provided with a topic, as per their class level. A model reading was done by the English Language teacher. Thereafter, a 10-day time was given to the students for practice before the Competition.

The Intra Class English Reading Competition was held during the regular English classes. All the students participated enthusiastically. The students were asked to read certain lines from the given topic. The participants excitedly showed their awesome performance. They read the assigned portion of the text confidently.

From each class, three winners were selected. However, in some classes, the performance of the students was so impressive, that choosing three winners from each class was a tough task, and hence the ranks have been shared by two students.

The ‘Intra Class English Reading Competition’ was judged by the respective English teachers, namely, Ms. Samana Zaidi, Ms. Chitra Suri, Ms. Javeria Ali, Ms. Deeksha Bajaj and Ms. Smriti Misra.

The ‘Intra Class English Reading Competition’ was thoroughly enjoyed by all the participants and they are looking forward to many more such competitions. The ‘English Reading Competition’ was successfully concluded.
