The foundation for good parent – teacher relationship is frequent and open communication, mutual respect and a clear understanding of what is best for an individual child. In pursuit of the same, Shri Ram Global School (SRGS), Lucknow organized an orientation programme on Saturday, 02nd April 2022 at Hilton Garden Inn, Lucknow for the new set of parents to familiarize them, “as partners in progress” with the curriculum, rules and regulations of the school, teaching methodologies and the co-scholastic activities.
The Orientation began on a thought that was as follows:
‘’Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think’’
The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the parents followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The dignitaries present on the occasion were Ms. Palak Singh, Director of Operations, SRGS, The School Principal Ms. Sushma Soni and Chief Academic Advisor Ms. Pooja Prasad
The School Principal apprised the parents about the vision and spoke about the rich heritage of the school; she laid emphasis on a strong connection with the school patrons. Parents were addressed by showing a comprehensive Power Point Presentation which portrayed the glimps of the school. The programme came to a close with an open house session in which the parents shared their doubts and queries.
Overall it was a fruitful meeting and the parents were in high spirits after attending the orientation programme.
