Tree Plantation

Van Mahotsava, a weeklong festival of tree plantation is organised every year in the first week of July across India when millions of trees are planted . In an earnest attempt to reduce the carbon footprint on the globe and sensitize the students about their role in conserving the environment SRGS celebrated Van Mahotsava on 6th July ‘19 in the school campus. The
celebration was an ideal opportunity to instil the value of social responsibility in the students towards safeguarding trees and forest .The program followed by students from each class
planting saplings in the campus. The event was  a success as each student contributed
profoundly in their own little way.Further , the event was followed by the various
activities like palm ,vegetable ,leaf painting etc. Grade 4 enthusiastically participated in a slogan writing competition while our senior most class made planters
out of discarded plastic bottles. The chief goal of all the activities remained the same ,spreading awareness and greenery. The drive was a huge success empowering students
with substantial knowledge of environment and plants and simultaneously enhancing their social skills .
