On 3rd May 2025, students from Grades III-V of Shri Ram Global School visited the Dial 112 Emergency Services Office and the Women and Child Helpline 1090 in Lucknow as part of their Bagless Day activities. The visit provided students with hands-on understanding of emergency response systems and the role of helplines in ensuring public safety. Upon arrival, the students were welcomed by police officials and attended a brief session that included a video on the correct use of Dial 112 services and a street play highlighting real-life emergency scenarios. Students from Grades IV-V were then addressed and discussed the importance of the 1090 helpline in crime prevention and child protection, along with insights on the POSCO Act. The students also toured operational areas, such as the tele-caller section, where they observed how calls are handled with care. A video on child sexual abuse was screened, followed by a questionnaire session to engage students. This visit proved to be an educational and enlightening experience fostering a greater understanding of emergency response systems and the critical role of helplines in society.
